A fellow fellow’s blog

One of my fellow Knight fellows Andrew has also started a blog to chronicle his thoughts during our time at Stanford. His first post is insightful and eloquent about the challenges facing the media. He also talks about why journalists have lost credibility with the public as the Internet lays bare the superficiality of what journalists often do. Andrew is one of the people behind an innovoative project to involve audiences in journalism as local experts, called public insight journalism. Reading his post makes me even more eager to get to Stanford to start talking about the optimistic future for journalism with people who are finding solutions, rather than taking the sadly more common slash-and-burn approach to coping with market changes.
